Our personalized slide-on collar pet ID tags are custom engraved with up to 4 lines of personalized text, room for your all your dog or cat's important ID. The permanent laser engraving is clearly readable on a colorful nameplate tag. Lightweight aluminum tag in 5 vibrant colors. This silent, secure tag easily slides on to both nylon quick-release buckle collars and open-ended, belt buckle style collars. Will not fall off nor jingle like traditional hanging pet tags.

Also available: Stainless Steel Slide-on Collar Dog Tags with an Open Design that fits adjustable snap closure collars.

Features and Benefits:

  • This tag slides on to open ended metal buckle collars. This tag does not fit adjustable collars with quick-release buckles.
  • 4 Sizes:
    • X-Small: fits 3/8 inch wide nylon collars
    • Small: fits 5/8 inch wide nylon collars
    • Medium: fits 3/4 inch wide nylon collars
    • Large: fits 1 inch wide nylon collars
  • Silent and secure, this tag will NOT fall off your pet's collar nor jingle like traditional hanging tags.
  • Made of anodized aluminum, this tag can be personalized with up to 4 lines of engraved ID.

How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Because each personalized item is custom-crafted just for your pet, please allow 2 business days for us to process, engrave, or embroider your order before it ships out.

Once your order is ready and leaves our facility, standard delivery times will apply based on the shipping method you select at checkout. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your package is on its way!
What happens if I made a typo in my customization details?

Please email us immediately at orders@gotags.com with your Order Number and the corrected text.

Because our production team gets to work quickly on personalized items, we typically have a narrow window—less than 24 hours from when your order is placed—to update customization details before engraving or embroidery begins. While we can't guarantee changes after production has started, we'll do everything we can to catch it in time!
How many lines of text and characters can fit on this tag?

The physical surface area of the tag stays the same, so the more lines or characters you add, the smaller the font will be. To keep your pet's tag as easy to read as possible from a distance, we recommend prioritizing essential info (like your pet’s name and primary phone numbers).
Is the engraving laser-etched or surface printed? Will it fade over time?

Our pet tags feature permanent, high-precision laser engraving—never surface printing or painted text that can rub off or peel away over time.

The laser etches into the surface material to produce crisp, high-contrast text designed for maximum readability. Does this tag come with attachment hardware?

Yes! Every tag (where applicable) includes a free, durable split ring so you have everything you need to attach it directly to your pet’s collar right out of the package.
How do I know if this slide-on tag will fit my pet's existing collar?

Fit depends on the type of slide-on tag you choose:

  1. Silicone & Elastic Slide-On Tags: Built with flexible bands that stretch to slide easily onto most standard flat collars.
  2. Stainless Steel Notched Tags: Feature a fixed, rigid design built for maximum long-term durability. Because these do not stretch, proper collar width and thickness are essential for a snug fit.
