Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Because each personalized item is custom-crafted just for your pet, please allow 2 business days for us to process, engrave, or embroider your order before it ships out.

Once your order is ready and leaves our facility, standard delivery times will apply based on the shipping method you select at checkout. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your package is on its way!
What happens if I made a typo in my customization details?

Please email us immediately at orders@gotags.com with your Order Number and the corrected text.

Because our production team gets to work quickly on personalized items, we typically have a narrow window—less than 24 hours from when your order is placed—to update customization details before engraving or embroidery begins. While we can't guarantee changes after production has started, we'll do everything we can to catch it in time!
How many lines of text and characters can fit on this tag?

The physical surface area of the tag stays the same, so the more lines or characters you add, the smaller the font will be. To keep your pet's tag as easy to read as possible from a distance, we recommend prioritizing essential info (like your pet’s name and primary phone numbers).
Is the engraving laser-etched or surface printed? Will it fade over time?

Our pet tags feature permanent, high-precision laser engraving—never surface printing or painted text that can rub off or peel away over time.

The laser etches into the surface material to produce crisp, high-contrast text designed for maximum readability. Built to handle water, mud, outdoor adventures, and everyday play, our tags are engineered for long-lasting weather resistance and durability so your pet's vital information stays clear and legible for years to come.
Does this tag come with attachment hardware?

Yes! Every tag (where applicable) includes a free, durable split ring so you have everything you need to attach it directly to your pet’s collar right out of the package.

Oh shit I’m lost Dog tag

Shipping was fair, I got the tag in like four days after the order. Quality seems to be good. The silencer has came off a couple of times but went back on with no trouble. So over all, I’m satisfied with the product.

Awesome!

Honestly, these tags should be more expensive than they actually are! There was a quick turnaround on my order and they came perfectly! Not to mention the noise counselor around the tag is also glow-in-the-dark! That was a great surprise, especially when my dogs collar fell off and I was able to find it in the grass that night because it was glowing lol!

Very pleased

I was very happy when I received the tag it shipped very fast however the postal service was very slow. The spelling was absolutely correct and the price was very very reasonable. However I did not know that the tag will glow in the dark that was a happy surprise overall I'm very pleased with this.

Liked

I really liked these tags. They were a little bit larger than I thought they’d be, but that was on me for not checking the measurements. The engraving is good and I really liked the glow in the dark outer ring, I can see when one of my outside cats is sitting on the fence. Would definitely buy tags again from here

Liked

I really liked all the tags I bought (8). The engraving is good, the glow in the dark outer ring is awesome. They were a little larger than I thought they would be. Guess I didn’t really look at the measurements, since they were for my cats. But that was on me. If I need any more tags I will definitely be buying from here again.
