Collar Sizing

To get an accurately sized collar to fit your dog, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure or piece of string, a few inches down from their head. Pull the tape/string snug, but not tight. If you used a piece of string, measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Your dog's measured neck size must fit within the collar's adjustable neck size range.

How long does it take to process and ship my order?

Because each personalized item is custom-crafted just for your pet, please allow 2 business days for us to process, engrave, or embroider your order before it ships out.

Once your order is ready and leaves our facility, standard delivery times will apply based on the shipping method you select at checkout. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your package is on its way!
What happens if I made a typo in my customization details?

Please email us immediately at orders@gotags.com with your Order Number and the corrected text.

Because our production team gets to work quickly on personalized items, we typically have a narrow window—less than 24 hours from when your order is placed—to update customization details before engraving or embroidery begins. While we can't guarantee changes after production has started, we'll do everything we can to catch it in time!
How do I properly measure my pet for this collar?

Getting an accurate measurement before ordering is essential, as personalized collars cannot be returned or resized if ordered in the wrong size.

Here is how to get the perfect fit:

  1. Use a Soft Tape Measure: Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base of your pet's neck where their collar normally rests. (If you don't have a soft tape, use a string and measure it against a standard ruler.)
  2. The Two-Finger Rule: Slip two fingers flat between the measuring tape and your pet's neck. This ensures the collar sits comfortably without being too tight or choking them.
  3. Compare to the Size Chart: Choose the collar size range where your pet’s measurement falls comfortably near the middle—not at the absolute smallest or largest setting.
Nylon & Hemp Collars: Are these collars machine washable?

Yes, they are machine washable!

  1. Remove all ID tags and attachments from the collar.
  2. Machine wash on a gentle or delicate cycle using cold or warm water with a mild detergent.
  3. Air dry only—do not place in the dryer, as high heat can damage the hardware and webbing.

New collars for everyone!

Great collars - we ended up getting this type for three of our four dogs. Our fourth got another model from GoTags. All collars are great quality - very happy! We also got I'm Chipped tags for all the puppies. Would recommend!

like it but name plate keeps unhooking

This collar is a really pretty blue and fits great but the name plate was not sewed in properly and therefore one side keeps unhooking. I think I need a replacement that is properly sewn.

Of all the collars I have purchased these are the best. great material and with the tags on the collar no jingling of tags. I feel like the hemp has helped my anxious one. Also great customer service. 2 of my 5 collars did not fit and they sent me new ones. You have to try this collar

I have now purchased three different items for my little dog. The first was a name tag that could attach to her existing collar. She chewed it to death. The second was an extra small collar with the name and phone number woven into the collar. To make it as small as needed, the "buckle" would cover up a good portion of the phone number and the collar was still a bit too big. This latest purchase (see above) is quite nice. Unfortunately, your "extra small" size is still too big and bulky for her. Sadly, I am looking elsewhere to see what I can find.
